After dropping their first six games to open the season, St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes took advantage of the Bishop Ireton Cardinals. The Saints held off the Cardinals, 60-55.
The Saints raced out to an early 17-6 lead as the Cardinals committed six turnovers, and Saints’ senior forward Brian Cahill and sophomore guard Jack Hamilton combined for three buckets from three-point land. Cahill and Hamilton combined for 44 points in the game.
Midway through the fourth quarter, deadlocked in a 47-47 tie, the Saints made their run to close out the game. Hamilton led the way—hitting a three-pointer, three free throws and a pair of shots in the final three minutes to seal the win over Ireton.
